Often we try to be someone we aren’t. Our society seems to want us to be “new and improved”…or to sell us on the idea that this is essential. When we try to be someone we are not, we find it is often painful. It’s hard. It might even be impossible.
In this episode, I share some of what’s been going on for me the past year, and talk about authenticity and how the work that you do isn’t the last word on who you are or what your self-worth is.
I explore how to be “real” on a resume, in an interview and in your career. I talk about the importance of finding work that aligns with your values and beliefs, and how sometimes, no matter what your skill set or experience, there are some situations that are just better to walk away from.
It’s a bit of story, a bit of inspiration, a bit different of an episode that leaves you with a little homework.
