I just returned from a weekend church conference and was delighted on the Saturday afternoon to discover these posters around the space we were meeting in, made by the children, that invited the reader to tear off “what they needed” from the bottom of the sign.
While the one pictured included such teasers as chocolate and ice cream, others included ‘reassurance‘, ‘cooperation‘, ‘sleep’ and ‘dancing‘. These made me smile in gratitude and amusement.
The idea of being offered a ticket of compassion or energy as a gift caused me wonder how often we just simply ask for what we need?
We might wish for, want, hope for or dream of these things…but how often do we take the time to pause, breathe, and just ask for them?
Clear communication includes being able to ask for what you need. How clear are you?
